SNAPCITY — Blockchain Based Geo-Location Adventure Game

Hello everyone, in this new post I will describe the SnapCity project — Tourism disrupted on the blockchain, following the discussion:

What is SnapCity?

SnapCity is the latest geo-location adventure game built on the blockchain and coming to Android and iOS soon.

View Challenge
View challenges on the map view in the app. You can see your current location and nearby challenges. Click on a challenge to read more information about it, including a picture and who defined the challenge.

Complete Challenge
Go to the location and take pictures. Taking a picture confirms that you went to the location and completed the challenge earning you SnapTokens. You can then use these tokens to challenge your friends, the community or redeem them at nearby businesses.

Exchange Token
Nearby businesses can advertise on SnapCity by receiving SnapTokens as a discount on their goods and services, we have developed a simple business interface to use to receive SnapTokens, as tokens conforming to their ERC20 protocol can be stored in most Ethereum wallets.

Send
Use your tokens to challenge your friends or the general public. You are rewarded for how popular your challenge is, as determined by the number of entries (public challenges only). It’s easy to share your challenges on social media like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Compete
Race to be the first to complete public challenges around the city. The first to complete the public challenge is the token winner. Explore your city and world as you do so.

Blockchain
Our Blockchain based solution ensures that tokens cannot be spent more than once, rewards users for verifying challenges and provides transparent and decentralized social media play.

ROADMAP

17/01/2017 — PROJECT STARTED
We decided on the idea and started gathering team members. Our current developers are experienced Google and Palantir developers on Blockchain. Check out Freddie’s GitHub here.
2/04/2017 — DEVELOPING ERC20 CONTRACT
During this time, we experimented with the Ethereum Main Network and developed several other tokens.
2/11/2017 — FIRST BUSINESS JOINS SNAPCITY
Ripley’s Believe it or Not Amsterdam joins SnapCity and receives SnapTokens through the app. Find out more here.
4/11/2017 — HACKATHON WITH SNAPCITY
Demonstrating a SnapCity prototype on AbovoMedia abakatola. This is where Egor and Oscar join the team. Both of them were really excited about the idea.
SOON- MVP RELEASE
The SnapCity app is coming to the iOS and Android app stores soon. We’d love to see what you think of it! Join the mailing list to be the first to know when we release MVPs and how to get them.
13/01/2018 — ICO SNAPCITY
SnapCity is about to launch an ICO (as seen on ICODaily here). We will distribute 50% of all available tokens (100,000,000). Hard Limit: 4000 ETH.
13/02/2018 — SNAPTOKENS AVAILABLE ON THE STORE
We discussed with several popular exchanges about listing SnapTokens for sale on these exchanges.
01/03/2018 — EUROPE FULL LAUNCH
We will launch the app in Europe, user generated challenges will be able to be created anywhere, but only businesses in Europe will be able to advertise. We aim to have at least 25,000 users by Q2 ‘18.
01/06/2018 — GLOBAL EXPANSION
We will then start looking for businesses to join the app worldwide. From here, we aim to drastically grow our user base using social media and advertising.
